His previous agreement was set to run until 2027, but the German coach has now committed to an additional year, with the possibility of extending his stay even further until 2029.
Speaking about the new deal, Flick expressed his satisfaction and confidence in the project at Barcelona. He explained that both he and the club have the flexibility to decide on another extension in the future if everything continues positively.
“I’m very pleased with this agreement,” Flick said. “We now have a contract through 2028, and afterward we will evaluate the situation together. If things continue to go well, there is an opportunity to add another year.
“The arrangement benefits both sides, and I truly feel that this is the right place for me.”
