In the 31st round of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Galatasaray secured a dominant 3–0 victory over Fenerbahçe, extending the gap at the top of the table to seven points.
The home side found the net through Victor Osimhen in the 40th minute, Barış Alper Yılmaz from the penalty spot in the 67th minute, and Lucas Torreira in the 83rd minute.
Fenerbahçe missed an early opportunity to take the lead when Anderson Talisca failed to convert a penalty in the 13th minute.
The visitors were reduced to ten men in the 62nd minute after Ederson received his second yellow card. Archie Brown, who had already been booked in the 23rd minute, will miss the upcoming match against RAMS Başakşehir due to suspension. Matteo Guendouzi and Mert Müldür also picked up yellow cards, ruling them out of the next fixture.
For Galatasaray, Uğurcan Çakır was booked in the 6th minute and will be suspended for the Samsunspor match. The national team goalkeeper will not be available for that game.
Two additional goals for Galatasaray were disallowed for offside, with Osimhen scoring in the 54th minute and Torreira in the 57th, both efforts ruled invalid.
With this result, Galatasaray increased their tally to 74 points, while Fenerbahçe remained on 67.
If Galatasaray defeat Samsunspor away next week, they will mathematically secure the league title.
