Igor Tudor has stepped down as Tottenham Hotspur head coach after winning just five of his seven matches in charge. His departure follows a disappointing 3–0 defeat before the international break, a result that left Spurs only one point above the relegation zone.
The Croatian manager had been appointed just 44 days ago, following the dismissal of Thomas Frank. Although Tudor had no prior experience managing in the Premier League, he was known for improving teams after mid-season arrivals at previous clubs. However, his spell in north London got off to a difficult start, with four defeats in his first matches.
In an official statement released on Sunday, the club confirmed the decision:
"We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for head coach Igor Tudor to leave the club with immediate effect."
