Galatasaray beat Rizespor 3-1

 Galatasaray continued their perfect start to the Trendyol Süper Lig season with a 3-1 victory over Çaykur Rizespor at RAMS Park, making it four wins out of four and staying top of the table.


4000th League Goal from Davinson Sanchez

The home side took the lead in the 20th minute when Davinson Sanchez headed in from Sara’s corner. This strike marked Galatasaray’s 4000th goal in Süper Lig history.
Victor Osimhen doubled the advantage in the 65th minute, before Mauro Icardi sealed the win in stoppage time (90+2).


Galatasaray concede after eight games

Rizespor’s only goal came in the 73rd minute when Dal Varesanovic scored from close range, ending Galatasaray’s run of eight straight matches without conceding.


Singo makes debut

New signing Wilfried Singo, brought in from Monaco, made his debut in the 90th minute, replacing Osimhen to appear in Galatasaray colours for the first time.

With this win, Galatasaray remain top with 12 points from four games, while Rizespor stay on just one point in 16th place.
