Liverpool Close to Signing Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt

Liverpool Eyeing Hugo Ekitike Transfer Amid Ongoing Talks

Liverpool are reportedly nearing a deal to bring Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike to Anfield, according to sources from the PA news agency.

Despite speculation that the Reds have had a €90 million (£78m) offer accepted for the French striker, reliable reports suggest that no final agreement has yet been reached. The two clubs remain in discussions over both the fee and how the deal would be structured.

However, Liverpool are said to be optimistic about concluding the transfer soon, having already agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old, who impressed in the Bundesliga after joining Frankfurt from Paris Saint-Germain last year.

Ekitike's potential arrival could prompt changes in Liverpool’s attacking lineup. Both Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa may be pushed closer to a summer exit as the club seeks to maintain financial balance. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich continue to express interest in winger Luis Diaz, though Liverpool have no intention of letting the Colombian depart at this stage.
