Fenerbahçe out as Vardar win both play-off legs. First match in Macedonia Vardar won 2-0. Fener coach Aykut Kocaman said that his team will pas the groups. But Vardar good analyzed  Fenerbahçe. So they defeat Fener also in İstanbul.


Fenerbahçe, representing Turkey in the UEFA Europa League, have been eliminated after losing both legs of their play-off tie against North Macedonian side Vardar. Following a 2-0 defeat in the first match, the Istanbul club suffered a 2-1 loss in the return leg and bowed out of the competition.

The second match, played at Ülker Stadium Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex, saw Fenerbahçe’s only goal come from Neustaedter in the 61st minute. Vardar responded with strikes from Jigauri in the 68th minute and Gligorov in stoppage time (90+1).

Vardar are the first club from Macedonia to reach UEFA club competition groups. Two swift counter-attacks punish Turkish side.
